Maui Volcano Tour
Tours can be done by way of helicopter to the volcanoes of Maui and to the Big Island volcanoes and will certainly be worth the cost of the ride. You will also see rain forests and some excellent black sand beaches. If this sounds like the activity for you, then read about the various tours below.
Maui Air's Tours
Maui Air has a great two hour tour available on their website of the Maui and Big Island active volcanoes. They run around 350 to 400 dollars approximately. However, if you want to fly over just Maui, then you should probably go with another touring company like Sunshine Helicopters. The one thing about this tour is that it is from an airplane and not from a helicopter. This is reason enough to go for a different touring company.
Sunshine Helicopters
Sunshine Helicopters offers some Maui tours by helicopter to the volcanos. It also goes to many of the more interesting sites on Maui that few people get to see because they are only accessible by air. Helicopter transportation to these sites helps you get close and get better pictures than a fly by on a plane, so choose a helicopter tour. You will want to wear dark clothes to minimize the reflection in the window for the best pictures. The one thing about Sunshine Helicopters tours is that there is a large number of them and the site is not very user friendly, so it will take you a while to look over all of them to find the one that is perfect for you. Be sure to check them out though, it pays to have knowledge of the tour you want to go on.
Blue Hawaiian
Blue Hawaiian offers some great Maui tours, including a full Maui, a West Maui and Molokai, and an East Maui tour. They also have several other tours that involve Maui, but if you want to get a good full view of Maui, these would be the best of the Blue Hawaiian tours. Check the tours of both Blue Hawaiian and Sunshine to find the right tour for you. Sunshine has a large number of tours, so it may take a little bit of time to look over all of their tours.
Maui volcanoes make great tours, but not as good as the tours of Big Island volcanoes. However, the land is more scenic as a whole on Maui, so it would be more worth it for you to go on a tour of Maui unless you really want to see lava.
